Join us on an adventure exploring nature with a morning for children aged 2-8 years and their families to be inspired by screen dance and move, watch and play. 

Imprint will lead a creative dance and play event in response to their beautiful film, Nature Inside.

The film is peppered with curious questions and we invite children and their grown-ups to respond by moving, playing and copying what is seen on screen.

We ask that grown ups stay with their children for this event, and each child and adult in the room should have a ticket. Children under the age of 1 are free.

About Nature Inside

Nature Inside is a participatory short dance film created by imprint with children and young people from Great Ormond Street Hospital and Argyle Primary School, Camden. The film explores the young people’s connections with wild spaces, interpreting their real and imagined experiences, embodied by three amazing dancers (Kira Brown, Charlie Hendren and Anna Smith) and with original music by Tom Cook.

This event is relaxed and SEN friendly – everyone is welcome.

About imprint

Nature Inside was created by imprint, a partnership between dance artist and creative practitioner Anne Colvin and visual artist Matthew Bartram. Together they focus on creating connections and through visual, verbal and physical storytelling and working with communities and artists to create participatory and performance work.

Their inspiration comes from the different ways people connect with natural environments, the imprints we leave and the memories we take away. “Together we notice, recognise and explore not just how our bodies move, but how we think, remember and can follow our curiosity.”

Nature Inside was commissioned by GOSH Arts and was publicly funded by Arts Council England, with support from South Downs National Park Authority and South East Dance.

Their public art commissions, exhibitions, collection and participatory programme improve the wellbeing and hospital experience for patients, families and staff.
