Creative Tank

This event is now sold out

Fresh from the tour of their critically acclaimed new work Lived Fiction, join Stopgap’s Artistic Director Lucy Bennett, Assistant Artistic Director (Future Leader) Monique Dior Jarrett and Dance Artists Hannah Sampson and Emily Leu-Fong for a three-day movement intensive that will give practical insight into the company’s current inclusive choreographic practice.

Aimed at Disabled and non-disabled professional artists (including graduates and those in training), the three days will consist of an inclusive company dance class followed by creative tasks, improvisation and discussions. The company artists will touch on Stopgap’s latest adventure into the aesthetics of access alongside their more noted choreographic methods of ‘Translation’ and ‘Texture’ work. All of which feature in Lived Fiction.

Application deadline: Monday 26 August, 2024.

If you are unsure if Creative Tank is right for you, please do not hesitate to contact Stopgap with a question by emailing [javascript protected email address].

There are currently two bursary spaces available, please specify in the sign up form if you require this and why. Please also speak to Stopgap if you would like to pay in instalments.

We are especially interested in receiving applications from D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent dancers, and encourage you to get in touch to discuss any access needs that would make attending the intensive programme easier.
