Support for artists during Lockdown #2
As we enter Lockdown #2 we want to reiterate our support for the people at the heart of our work.
With Lockdown # 2 coming into force we wanted to reiterate our support for all of our partners, the artists and arts organisations we work with and the people who are at the heart of everything we do.
Since COVID-19 changed all of our lives in March this year, we’ve been holding regular artist advisory sessions for anyone who wants to talk to our Senior Producers about the challenges they face. We have released a new block of these free sessions, which you can find out more about and book here.
Our monthly Artist Café events, run by artists for artists, offer a space for reflection, support and learning new skills. Our next free event is on Friday 13 November. Find out more and book here.
And in terms of our programme, like many arts organisations we have taken this online, commissioning artists to make new work; hold online movement classes for boys; host a series of talks and events; and select their favourite dance films for our 2020 Vision festival of screen dance. For a full run down visit our What’s On pages.
Although our team is still working from home, our doors are always open. Find a full list of staff contact details here.
We know what a demoralising time it is for everyone working in the arts at the moment. We want to assure you that we will do everything we can to continue to represent and support you. We may not all be in the same boat, but we are weathering the same storm.
With best wishes from all of us here at South East Dance
