We are proud to be one of the national partners working with Pavilion South West on their industry-focused CHILDREN & THEIR GROWN-UPS, taking place from Wednesday 29 September to Saturday 2 October this year

The dance-based showcase offers a UK-wide programme of discussion, live and livestreamed work and pitches.  Artists and companies will be invited to present a body of new work specifically created for children.

The showcase aims to initiate the creation and programming of more dance work for children and their grown-ups. There will be opportunities to watch never before seen shows aimed at an age span of 0-15 year olds.  The presented works will be a mix of live and digital with an emphasis on presenting a moment to enjoy dance, to have fun, to experience different feelings or stories.

The Windows On Your Work sessions are a virtual opportunity for artists and companies to share via digital recordings or talking about work for children to an audience of industry professionals including programmers.

We are looking to select eight artists or companies through an open call. Join us on Tuesday 6 or Wednesday 7 July for a live Q&A to talk about the open call submission process.

Both the Live and virtual events within the five-day event will include companies sharing new work for children that is available for touring, both live and digitally, and will give artists, companies, producers and programmers a chance to consider how to co-create work with children and how to adapt work for different touring formats.

The work will be available to be experienced live in the different locations and some of the events will be livestreamed from those locations. All of the discussions will be virtual and hosted on the PDSW website, offering an opportunity for anyone to tune in from wherever they are in the world.

Artists and programmers will be able to arrange 1-1 appointments to talk more about how to collaborate. There will also be time in each day for professional networking.
