Each year, we support an artist or company that uses dance, movement and/or choreography in their work with a bursary that covers the entry fee for performing at Brighton Fringe, as well as mentoring from the South East Dance team and in-kind marketing, press and social media support for their show.

Our inaugural bursary in 2019 went to Cirkus Xante and their aerial piece As a Tiger in the Jungle, which was performed at Brighton Open Air Theatre. Ali Williams, Creative Producer, said of the support she received: “The PR and marketing support we received was invaluable and helped us to spread the word about our work and raise our profile of the performance.”

Applications can be made via the Brighton Fringe website here.
