Applications for our Brighton Fringe Bursary are Now Open!

We are delighted to announce applications are open for the Brighton Fringe Bursary for 2022. The award is open to any artist or company whose Brighton Fringe show includes movement/dance/choreography.

The successful recipient will receive

  • Brighton Fringe entry fee paid for
  • An artist advisory session with a producer at South East Dance
  • In-kind marketing and social media support for your show


This support is worth over £600


This bursary is open to any Brighton Fringe show that includes movement/dance/choreography. You do not need to be a dance artist/company to apply! The show’s lead art form might be cabaret, circus, burlesque, physical theatre etc.

In order to be considered for the bursary, you must first have a show in development and provide evidence that you have either confirmed your venue or are in conversation with a venue who will host your Brighton Fringe show in 2022.

Please note: this bursary is open to professional artists only (not students).


Application process: 

Please complete the application form on the Brighton Fringe website before Friday 18 February. The bursary winner will be selected by a panel appointed by South East Dance. 

Applications Open: Tuesday 9 November

Applications Close:  Midday Friday 18 February 2022
