Our studios at The Dance Space are available to hire for regular classes Monday – Saturday from 9am – 9pm at £35 per hour.
We believe everybody is welcome and strive to include classes for all ages and abilities.
We want to complement the great work that other studios are already doing in Brighton & Hove and are mindful to programme classes that aren’t in direct competition.
Your class would be part of our regular timetable, which mainly follows the Brighton and Hove School term time dates . Most of our classes break for half terms and school holidays. Being a teacher at The Dance Space is being part of a community supported by South East Dance to help you build thriving classes. We offer marketing support, including your own dedicated web page in our What's On section and an entry in our printed timetable.
The Aldridge Community Space (pictured) has the highest turnover of classes from 9am – 9pm Monday to Saturday. The Weston Research Space is available from 6pm – 9pm Monday to Friday. Both spaces are available to hire on a Saturday outside of term time and we are currently closed on Sundays.
The Jamie Watton Creation Space is not available for regular weekly classes, however it’s perfect for one-off workshops and is available to hire for a minimum of three hours.
From now until April 2026:
Monday 12:30pm – 1:30pm
Tuesday 9am – 10am
Tuesday 12:30pm – 1:30pm
From April 2026 onwards:
Monday 9am - 12:30pm
Monday 5pm - 7pm
Wednesday 3pm - 4pm
Thursday 8pm - 9pm
Hire times include set-up and pack-down, so if you book a studio for one hour please factor this in.
Outdoor footwear is not permitted in the studios. We ask that participants are barefoot and if they need to wear shoes they are indoor, white, non-marking shoes. We don’t allow stiletto heels on the dance floors.
