Teachers Continuing Professional Development

In Summer 2020, we launched our first professional development opportunity for primary school teachers interested in integrating dance into learning and enhancing the curriculum.

This opportunity forms part of our wider schools programme, Aldridge Dance, created in partnership with Brighton Marina Studios and supported by Aldridge Foundation, which aims to better connect the education, dance, health and sports sectors in Brighton & Hove.

Led by dance artist and choreographer Anne Colvin, these free sessions are an opportunity for teachers to expand their creativity in the classroom, gain a deeper understanding of the benefits of dance to young people, and get tips about how to embed it into the learning environment.

If you are interested in talking to us about bringing dance into your school – via professional development sessions (face to face or online), bringing a dance professional into your primary school to support you with opportunities like Let’s Dance, or to deliver regular classes - contact Rose Kigwana, our Senior Producer, Participation at: rose.kigwana@southeastdance.org.uk.
