Propel Information Pack

Propel Creative Contemporary classes embrace different learning styles and celebrate individuality and creativity. In these fun weekly sessions dancers explore contemporary dance movement with our experienced and caring teaching team. 

Join one, two or all three terms for young dancers aged 11-14 years who want to dance and express themselves in a friendly non-traditional environment.

Book on to the summer term for a performance opportunity.

Propel 2025-2026

  • Propel is for ages 11-14  
  • Propel is a small group of dancers to allow for quality of experience. 
  • Dancers will attend regular weekly classes led by a high quality and experienced teaching team that will include a teacher and an assistant. 
  • Classes will include contemporary dance technique, exploring expressive skills and creative work.
  • Three terms of ten weeks, with additional activity in the summer term. 
  • Autumn term: 30 September – 9 December (Half term break 28 October)
  • Spring term: 13 January – 24 March (Half term break 17 February)
  • Summer term: 21 April – 30 June (Half term break 26 May)
  • Performance project additional dates: 14 June & 28 June
  • In the summer term the group will work with the teaching team to create a dance piece for a performance.
  • Guest professional dance artists will be invited to lead one-workshops for the participants.
  • Propel dancers will receive ongoing feedback from the teaching team.

Course fees

The training is subsidised through private funding to encourage all young dancers to take part, regardless of their personal circumstances.

South East Dance is a charity and we try to support people to take part if they cannot afford it. A limited number of free or half price places are available. Please let us know if you cannot afford to pay the class fees in full and we will try to help.

Cost

Autumn term and spring term = £112 per term
Summer term, including additional dates = £140 per term

Course fees work out at approximately £7.50 per hour of programme activity.


Course fees will be payable per term at point of booking through the South East Dance website. 
Details of how to make payment for the second half of term will be sent to parents, guardians or carers during the term. 

We have a limited number of free and half price subsidised places available. If you are not able to pay the full term fee upfront, please contact us to discuss alternative options.

Absence

If you are unable to attend any of the days within a booked course we are unable to refund or reschedule that missed class.

Should South East Dance have to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances, South East Dance will make every effort to re-arrange the session within two months of the cancelled date
