Fevered Sleep: Men & Girls Dance

Featured in The Guardian's Top 10 Theatre Shows of 2016

Fevered Sleep’s participatory dance project brings together a group of local, untrained girls to dance with five professional male dancers. The project was co-programmed in Brighton & Hove by South East Dance and Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts in October 2016. The project engaged a total of 1634 people of all ages, including a live audience of 699 people.

"Men & Girls Dance @fevered sleep is so joyous and surprising and thoughtful"
Lyn Gardner on twitter

"It was one of the most incredible works I have seen for a long time. The way the piece gradually dispelled any misgivings about men dancing with young girls was phenomenal. I was totally drawn in and at the end completely related to all on stage. My companion felt exactly the same."
Cllr Adrian Morris, Labour & Co-Operative Group, Queen's Park Ward
