Se Domani (If Tomorrow)

This performance is suitable for anyone.

It seems that the human being needs to be in a state of emergency in order to act, and that it can only contemplate the existence of change when it is inevitable, when there is nothing left to protect it and it must strip itself of all certainty. Until then, the only option is to survive as one can; proceeding along a path whose only centre of interest is one's own ego, in a more or less conscious blindness to the Others around me.

The play is underpinned by an inescapable question: how do we, understood as individual human entities, stand in front of the crisis before us?

The word crisis in Se Domani is resemantised in its original meaning of choice, of possibility to find the Other, to renew ourselves, to be alive and not to consider ourselves immortal, to be in correlation with what is outside of us and to be traversed by reality.

On stage, two bodies, two trajectories that draw the border of a liminal space, a corridor that advances in perpetual confrontation with oneself and the world. In this bulimia of the image, in this cult of individualism, the gaze is annihilated, sinking into a corporeal and existential blindness. The boundary disintegrates, it expands, like the sound that in its rhythmic and incessant advance turns into song.

The two bodies, representatives of a collectivity enclosed in a monad of schemes and protections, encounter otherness and thus themselves to the point of touching, going through a shared crisis together.
