Qigong for physical and mental health & wellbeing
Please note there is no class on 29 October.
Qigong is a transformative practice that combines sophisticated body work with regulation of breathing and the cultivation of mindfulness. It can be practised at any age.
The benefits of qigong (pronounced cheegong) include better mental and physical health; a stronger and more fluid body; improved sporting, martial and dance performance and reduced risk of injury; a connection to nature and to something greater than our daily selves
This Autumn term we will be working on the ancient Chinese five animal movements, the eight silken movements (baduanjin) form, and a variety of neigong (internal skill) practices.
Classes are drop-in but please ALWAYS check bookwhen.com/peterdeadman to confirm the class is running on any given week.
Peter Deadman is co-founder of Infinity Foods, has a long career practising, teaching and writing about Chinese medicine and health promotion, and has practised and taught qigong for many years.

What people say about Peter’s teaching:
“Thanks for providing such a consistently clear series of exercises that we can return to for guidance as we pursue our practice. It's lovely to participate in such a calming, beautiful and beneficial endeavor.”
“Very thorough instruction from an amazing seasoned teacher. Thank you for the knowledge. I am starting the new calendar year with a practice I've been wanting to learn for some time. Now I wish I had started sooner.”
“This is lifelong learning and enrichment, thank you!”
“Incredible explanations and very easy to follow and learn.”
“I have been practising Qi Gong and Tai Chi on and off over many decades - I valued the instruction around the lengthening of the fascia as the way of lifting upwards and relaxing and sinking. The mindfulness which comes with incorporating this way of lengthening and sinking has been quite transformative in my practice. “
“Lovely teaching style. So knowledgable and a joy to learn from you!”
