Flexer & Sandiland: Improvisation (with contemporary technique)

Led by Flexer & Sandiland Artistic Director, Yael Flexer, these intergenerational classes are open to adults of any age without or with dance experience.

Sessions are designed to:

  • develop awareness of our anatomy
  • develop connection to our bodies and each other through use of imagery and playful exploration
  • build confidence and social connection
  • develop technical and creative skills

Our Wednesday class leads you through gentle movement improvisations and performance scores, concluding with a half hour of contemporary technique (for those that want to improve technical skills). Exercises are made to suit those aged 50+ and accessible to all.

Join our growing and lovely community, connect, move, dance, and laugh with us every Wednesday evening and/or Friday morning.

Please wear comfortable clothing and we recommend you work on bare feet or if needed with socks.

Classes can be taken anytime during the term (if you block-book part way through the term you will only be charged for the remaining classes).

Flexer & Sandiland is a South East Dance partner company.
