Join Stopgap Dance Company's Co Artistic Director Lucy Bennett, Autistic Access Artist Lily Norton and Disabled Dance Artist Monique Dior Jarrett for an engaging, hands-on workshop that blends practice and presentation, offering a deep dive into the company’s unique approach to creative access in dance. Through the lens of Stopgap’s award-winning production Lived Fiction, you’ll discover how accessibility and artistry can intertwine to shape powerful, inclusive performances.
Creative Tank is a three-day practical workshop, aimed at Disabled and non-disabled professional artists (including graduates and those in training). This year we will be based at Jamie Watton Creation Space at South East Dance, Brighton. Onsite there is a green room, quiet space and a wellbeing officer.
Stopgap are especially interested in receiving applications from D/deaf, Disabled and neurodivergent dancers, and encourage you to [javascript protected email address] to discuss any access needs that would make attending the intensive programme easier.
We currently have two bursary spaces available, please specify in the sign up form if you require this and why.
