Improvers Contemporary

Please note there is no class on 18 February.

"Aneta's approach to dance is fierce, ecstatic, and liberating, creating an environment where personal and physical exploration is not only encouraged but celebrated."

Led by professional dancer, capoeira teacher, and choreographer Aneta Zwierzynska, his class incorporates elements of improvisation, release technique and floorwork to find fluidity and ease in the way we move, whilst also gaining strength and power. The aim of this class is to find freedom in the flow of movement, whilst establishing instinctive spatial awareness and natural grounding.

Expect a mix of centre work, floor work, crossings and phrases, with a relaxed approach and good tunes.

Aneta Zwierzynska holds a double MA degree from Anton Bruckner University in Austria. With extensive training and work experience across Brazil, Poland, Austria, Greece, and the UK, Aneta teaches her unique blend of contemporary dance and capoeira in various locations worldwide, including Rambert, The Place, and Pineapple Dance Studios. Notably, she served as the main choreographer for the 2016 opening ceremony of the European Capital of Culture in Poland.

We have scheduled our Beginners and Improvers classes back to back, so that as you progress in skill, technique and confidence, you can move through to our Improvers class to continue to develop your practice.
