Contemporary dance pop-up
This open level class draws from a range of contemporary dance techniques. Expect choreographed exercises with an eye on technique, conditioning and fluidity - set to some catchy eclectic tunes that just make you want to dance.
We start with a short gentle floor phrase, continue with some exercises to mobilise the feet, legs, arms and spine, and finish with a longer phrase that travels and explores movement textures, musicality and flow. We use breath, opposition, impulse, weight and suspension to affect movement. Come and experience the joy of dance in this energising class.
Adults (18+) of all levels welcome, from seasoned practitioners to beginners with basic (not necessarily recent) experience of movement such as yoga or dance. This is a good vibes class focused on finding joy, challenge and growth in movement.
What to wear: Comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement. Socks or bare feet.
Spaces in the class can be booked up until the class start time.
