Rhythm of the Island Bachata Classes

Please note there is no class on 30 October.

Join us every Thursday from 7–8pm for an immersive journey into the heart of the Dominican Republic through the dance of Bachata. This course isn’t just about steps — it’s about connection: to the music, to the culture, to your partner, and most importantly, to yourself.

We’ll explore the rich heritage and soulful rhythms that shape Bachata — from the instruments that give it its unique sound, to the different rhythms and styles that influence the dance. You’ll learn how to identify these layers and blend them together in your own expression, without losing the structure that defines traditional Bachata.

Each class is a space to move with meaning, to listen deeply, and to feel the spirit of the Dominican Republic come alive on the dance floor. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to deepen your connection to the music, this is a place to grow, groove, and dance from the soul.
