This Mind the Gap session will cover how to write a budget for your Arts Council England application, what to include, how to price up fees, how to incorporate in-kind support and other key aspects of budgeting. There will be a chance for individuals to ask questions.
Lou is Senior Producer, Artist Development at South East Dance. She worked first as a performer and maker and then a producer and has worked in the arts professionally for over 25 years. Lou graduated from The University of Birmingham with a degree in dance and continued her training in performance at ALRA in London. After a successful performance career Lou realised that producing was much more fun than touring. She was previously producer with Rifco Arts and Stopgap Dance Company
Alongside her role at South East Dance, Lou is a freelance producer and currently works with Lila Dance, Flexer & Sandiland, small performance adventures and MakeAMPLIFY. She also runs her own production company – Hubble Bubble Productions which focusses on integrated work made with disabled and non disabled performers.
Lou has been successfully applying for Arts Council funding since 2008.
