Watch again - Applying for Arts Council Funding for the First Time
Mind The Gap is a programme of free expert advice on starting out in the dance industry. Running from January to May 2021, the 26 sessions covered everything needed for those transition from education into the dance industry, or for those just starting out. Find out more about the programme here.
Aimed at those applying to Arts Council England for project grants for the first time, this session with South East Dance's Senior Producer Lou Rogers will cover how to set up an application account and how best to tackle the questions. Lou’s advice will be based on applying for an under £15,000 project grant.
Lou is Senior Producer, Artist Development at South East Dance. She worked first as a performer and maker and then a producer and has worked in the arts professionally for over 25 years. Lou graduated from The University of Birmingham with a degree in dance and continued her training in performance at ALRA in London. After a successful performance career Lou realised that producing was much more fun than touring. She was previously producer with Rifco Arts and Stopgap Dance Company.
