Additional Information
You are very welcome (in fact, we encourage you) to visit Australia for longer (if resources allow) - to make the most of the opportunity to connect with local and regional organisations; and from a development and sustainability perspective.
Dance Makers Collective would be happy to talk to you about how to make the most of this opportunity via their connections. However, please note we would be unable to offer you additional fee, accommodation / expenses for any additional time.
We'd love to talk to the successful artist/s about how you might share what you have been doing, with your local community back in the South East of England (respectfully, and according to the customs and protocols of the community and country you have worked with in Australia.)
Access and Inclusion
If you require support with access requirements, visible or invisible conditions or lived experience, which influence being away from home and taking part in the residency, please don't hesitate to get in touch with the South East Dance team via programming@southeastdance.org.uk to chat about how we can best meet your needs.
We value and promote diversity and are committed to equitable opportunities for all, so we welcome applications from a diverse range of choreographers who work in a broad range of styles.
Dance Makers Collective acknowledge the Darug peoples, the traditional custodians of the land of Western Sydney, whose land we have the privilege to dance and work on. We acknowledge their survival and resilience, and pay respect to Darug Elders past and present, and recognise their continuing connection to the land, water and community for over 65,000 years.
