Opportunity: Devising & Performance Project with The 12th Floor

Three Free Workshop Gatherings + Performance at Brighton Fringe

We’re inviting local artists to join us for three creative workshop sessions exploring community, connection, and collaborative performance-making. This will result in a live performance opportunity at South East Dance as part of Brighton Fringe on 13 May 2026

What We’ll Be Exploring

The three workshops will focus on collaboratively devising the second half of an evening of performance work. 

We’ll experiment with:

• Voice, Sound & Text
• Audience Interaction
• Projection & Visual Score

And their relationship to dance and movement 

Your responses and ideas will directly shape the devised work. You will be invited to present the outcome of these workshops as part of our Brighton Fringe show.

Performance: 13 May 2026 - Participants must commit to keeping this date free.

Workshops are free to access. Full commitment to all workshop dates and performance day is essential. 

Who Is This For?

We’re looking for:

Participants aged 18+ (no upper age limit), of any gender, based in the South East

Interest in dance and some understanding / experience with dance and movement ( don’t worry you don't have to be a pro, enthusiasm is most important) 

Those seeking connection, community and creative play, open to experimentation and cross-disciplinary collaboration

This project aims to create a community space for local artists, making work shaped by local artists’ voices and desires.
