Rough Cuts: movement in the making

Rough Cuts is our programme of work-in-progress sharings, designed to support artists to develop their work in collaboration with an audience; and to offer an opportunity for audiences to get to the heart of the creation process.

Sharing of Plue by Elinor Lewis and Joe Garbutt.

The term Rough Cut comes from the film industry - the first draft of a film — also known as the rough cut.

What the audience experiences won't have all the bells and whistles of a finished production but it gives the idea of how a story is going to look onstage; and is an opportunity for a dance artist or choreographer to test their movement ideas with a friendly, supportive audience.
