"I've enjoyed showcasing our work and networking with other dancers from different backgrounds" Dancer, U.Dance South East Regional Platform

We encourage individuals and groups who create dance pieces in all genres, such as commercial/street dance styles, ballet, South Asian dance, contemporary dance, dance of the African Diaspora, jazz dance, folk dance, you name it: U.Dance is for everyone!

U.Dance Regional platforms are for dancers aged 11 to 19 years, and up to and including 25 years for dancers with disabilities or long-term health conditions.

To be eligible for a place in the U.Dance South East Regional Platform 2026 you will need to:

Only include dancers who are aged 11 to 19 years, or up to and including age 25 for disabled dancers or those living with long-term health conditions, on 31 July 2026.

Submit a dance piece which is between 2 and 5 minutes in duration.
However, we are open to conversations to consider pieces of a maximum of 7 minutes if it is impossible for your dance piece to be shorter.

U.Dance South East Regional Platform groups must be based in the south east region and involve dancers who live in the south east region including: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and West Sussex.

Have a maximum of 25 dancers in your group.
Soloists, duets, trios, and groups of up to 25 dancers are eligible to apply.

Submit a dance piece that has not been extensively showcased. The panel are looking for recent pieces that have either not been performed before or have only been shown a few times.

Return the completed application form, monitoring form and URL link to your dance film by the deadline date: 12noon, Wednesday 7 January 2026.

Submit a video of your dance piece via a URL link.  Filming Guidelines
Please note: This must be a URL link that is available to view online, NOT a downloadable file.
Helpful tip: The clearer the video is, filmed from the front with all dancers visible, the easier it will be for the panel to see the work.

Please submit dance pieces that are the finished version or are close to being completed.

Ensure your dancers are available to attend the U.Dance National Festival 2026 if selected.
