Boys' Movement Classes

In 2019 Brighton & Hove based company Vincent Dance Theatre identified a gap in dance and movement classes for boys in the city, and set about creating a new weekly after school dance class. Following its initial success, Vincent Dance Theatre invited South East Dance to deliver the boys classes regularly in partnership with them.
When COVID-19 prevented us delivering the classes in person, we piloted holding them online and they’ve been so popular that we have incorporated them into our ongoing Participation Programme.
Designed for boys, and anyone who identifies as male, aged 7-11 years, these sessions develop physicality, self-awareness, confidence and expression through dynamic movement, whilst enabling participants to learn new skills.
