Update on Arts Council England’s Emergency Funding Package

Dear Friends

Thanks to everyone who joined us for one of our online Q&As, we hope the sessions were useful in helping to formulate applications for Arts Council England emergency funding.

We’re so pleased for the artists and arts organisations starting to receive good news about their applications but we’re also acutely aware that not everyone will be successful in applying to an inevitably heavily oversubscribed funding pot. If you are in this position we want to reassure you that our door is still open. Our Senior Producer Lou Rogers is available to discuss other avenues of support so please do get in touch. If you haven’t already done so, it’s worth checking out the Arts Sector Resources Page on our website here, which signposts to other areas of support at this time.

You may also be wondering whether South East Dance will be applying to the Arts Council’s NPO emergency fund. Having carefully reviewed the guidelines, which state that this fund is aimed specifically at NPOs unable to survive financially through to September 2020, we felt we are not eligible and so will not be applying.

We are in the process of discussing how we can further support the south east’s dance sector at this time, more on that soon. In the meantime, keep in touch with all of our latest news and opportunities by signing up to our mailing list, which you can find at the top of our homepage.

With best wishes from all of us here at South East Dance

Cath James, Artistic Director, and Rachel Gibson, Executive Director
