We are looking for someone with an efficient, friendly and calm approach, and good organisational skills to join our small Visitor & Events Support team.

This is a varied and dynamic role, where you will play a key role in the smooth running of The Dance Space, ensuring our artists, clients and visitors have the best possible experience.

You will also support the Building & Sustainability Manager in the daily operational requirements of the building.

Duties will include assisting customers in person, via phone and email, ticket sales, furniture and room and studio set-ups, fire warden, first aider and general housekeeping.

You will be expected to work a variable shift pattern spanning daytime, evening and some weekends may be required in line with event requirements.

Ideally, you will have excellent customer care skills and have the capacity for the manual aspects of the role as well as demonstrable experience working in a venue, arts or entertainment setting (or similar), but we would be pleased to hear from anyone who has any experience that they think would make them a good fit for the role.

The position will be based at The Dance Space in Circus Street.

We are an arts charity that works with dance professionals and people across the region to make the South East a thriving home for dance.

Our vision is a world where everybody is inspired to enjoy, take part in and create bold, brave, pioneering dance.

We support dance artists that specialise in all forms of dance, from breakdancing to ballroom, with funding, tailored advice and networking throughout their careers.  As passionate believers in the health and wellbeing benefits of dance, we also work hard to bring movement to as many people as possible – particularly those who might not have had the opportunity or the confidence to give it a go before.
