Watch the Our Little Blue Dot film
Part dance, part documentary, the Our Little Blue Dot film is the culmination of creative workshops with children in our local community.
In Spring 2023, our Steering Group awarded Amy Toner and Jonathan Mewett of Dot Dot Dance the Our City Dances 2023 Commission. With the commission, Amy and Jonathan created Our Little Blue Dot - a project with children in our local community, which culminated in a documentary film shown at Our City Dances and which you can watch here.
Our Little Blue Dot is a reminder of the important role we play in looking after the planet. Made up of a series of workshops for children aged under five and their grown-ups, together they explored imaginative movement, eco-friendly prop work and outdoor play; connecting with the natural world around us.
The resulting film is part dance and part documentary offering an insight into the workshops and following the participants’ experience of planting, making, discussing and explorations of nature.
Created with support from The Chalk Cliff Trust.
