Volunteer!

South East Dance are looking for volunteers to join our team and lend a helping hand at exciting events happening at The Dance Space this May 2024.

We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive, and we offer reasonable adjustments to support candidates with disabilities. Don’t hesitate to apply if you are:

  • Warm, welcoming, and ready to share a smile
  • A natural communicator who thrives on connecting with people
  • Confident in your English (other languages, including BSL, a bonus)
  • A true team player who flourishes in a vibrant arts environment

Join us either as Welcome Support or a Front of House Host and help make every visitor’s experience one to remember.

Welcome Support

  • Be the first friendly face visitors encounter, warmly greeting them at The Dance Space
  • Answer questions, provide information, and assist with directions
  • Provide extra support for our elderly, vulnerable, and new audience members
  • Guide guests to performances spaces and event locations around the venue
  • Immerse yourself in the performance along with the audience

Front of House Host

  • Ensure a smooth entry process by greeting guests at the auditorium doors and checking tickets
  • Guide audience members to their seats using a clicker system
  • Distribute programmes and assist latecomers with seating
  • Join the audience to experience the performance
  • Help patrons exit the space, provide exit flyering, and encourage participation in post-show surveys
