Digital Dance Practice: Artist Talk

Join independent Sydney-based dance artists Ella Watson-Heath and Ashleigh Veitch as they share their ongoing digital practice and research.

Through case-studies of their previous work, Ella and Ashleigh will discuss their explorations of the tension between digital identity and lived experience. The conversation includes a behind-the-scenes look at Watson-Heath's STILL FALL, a work that uses chroma-key technology and layered physicality to question how we perceive truth. Expect an open discussion of how choreography and digital-physical tools can help us navigate uncertainty, alongside reflections on the value of shared physical experience.

Their work will be developed during their RAPPORT residency here at South East Dance in October 2026 -as both artists visit Brighton from Dance Makers Collective based in Sydney, Australia.
