Brighton Screendance Festival 2026
Lights, Camera, Action! Brighton Screendance Festival 2026, our festival of dance for screen, returns as part of Cinecity this autumn.
With our live programme happening at The Dance Space on 14 November, and a digital programme running until 21 November - you'll be treated to a programme of brave and beautiful dance film, which will include:
- Homegrown: An eclectic selection of screendance films created by South East based artists
- Glitch, Grain, Ground: Experimental dance films that work with grainy, faulty and glitchy images to explore experiences of migration, displacement and loss
- Digital Screen: Watch for free, from the comfort of your sofa, our online programme of international work hosted on our website 14-21 November
- Screendance Invites: Guest curators from the world of screendance select arresting, beautiful and thoughtful films
- Dance & Moving Image Course: Sign up for this online, hands on, practical course led by multidisciplinary artist by Becky Edmunds, staring on 4 November.
All events are pay-what-you-can or free, so try something new and immerse yourself in the diverse and dynamic world of dance on screen at The Dance Space.
