Here you can see the front of our building, The Dance Space.
Visual Guide for a Performance
Here is some information with visual guides to help you feel more prepared before visiting us
This is the back of The Dance Space, follow the building round either side to enter.
If the doors do not open automatically, you may need to press the top button on the intercom system. There is an orange sticker where you should press and someone on the welcome desk will let you in.
Here is what the ground floor looks like, on the left is the welcome desk where you can ask any questions you may have, including where your class will be held.
Your class will most likely be in one of these two dance studios. Please note that we do not allow outside shoes on in the studio. There is a rail for you to leave your coat. If you have questions such as if the class has gone into the studio yet, you can ask one of our friendly staff on the welcome desk.
This is the back of the ground floor, just past the welcome desk next to the lift. You use the changing room if needed before your class and help yourself to water. There is also a shelving unit where you can leave your bags.
If you go up the stairs, level 2 is clearly labelled on the stairwell.
Once inside, there may be someone from South East Dance checking tickets. You will then need to make your way up to level 2 to The Village Green. You can do this either by the stairs shown in the photo or via the lift.
When leaving the building, press the middle button to open the final door (the first door you came in through building).
This is The Village Green on level 2. Here you will find seats, toilets, accessible toilets and baby change. You may be asked to wait here before the doors open for the show. There is also a door to the Jamie Watton Creation Space, where you will be seeing the show or performance you have booked.
You are welcome to leave prams and buggies in this area while you watch the show.
Food
We do not have anywhere to purchase drinks or food at The Dance Space, but opposite the building is a café that serves food or round the corner on The Grand Parade is Hector's Pub which serves food and drinks.
