Tarner Festival: Re-Textured

As part of our partnership with Tarner Festival we are presenting two free dance performances and this will be the second of the day. Drishti Dance, led by Artistic Director Anuradha Chaturvedi, presents Re-Textured, a dynamic Kathak choreography (Kathak is one of the eight major forms of Indian dance) that explores the rhythmic compositions and textures of Nritta (meaning pure dance).

The performance at Tarner Festival will be a brilliant display of Indian classical dance, with its graceful, wide sweeping hand movements, intricate footwork, dizzying spins and subtle expressions. Watch traditional dance forms interpreted in a fresh and modern way.

Tarner Festival is an annual event held at Tarner Park in Brighton that brings the local community together and highlights the achievements of the children, young people and staff of the Tarner Community Project. Find out more here
