Nitya

Nitya, an ancient Sanskrit word meaning one who is eternal and constant, is a new work by Drishti Dance’s Youth Dance Company, presented as part of Our City Dances 2022. Nitya is inspired by Shakti, the Indian female divinity who embodies all facets of life including creation, maintenance and destruction. This piece is an exploration of the ‘Nitya’ in our inner world, where this energy lies dormant until we invoke it.
