Professor Angela Pickard, Little Big Dance Evaluator

Professor Angela Pickard (She/ Her) is the first Professor of Dance Education in the UK.

Angela has worked nationally and internationally with a range of dancers, choreographers, dance companies and organisations as a dancer, educator/facilitator and/or researcher/evaluator, to support the development of enabling teaching pedagogies and practices. She teaches and researches across dance education, health, and wellbeing with people of different ages and stages, from early years to older people. Angela is Director of the Sidney De Haan Research Centre for Arts and Health, at Canterbury Christ Church University. She is the evaluator for the Little Big Dance project where she has been able to use her knowledge of early years, to ensure the children were at the heart of the evaluation process.
