Kath Kimber-McTiffen

Kath Kimber-McTiffen (She/ Her) is a Dance Artist, Musician, Performer, Maker and Mum with a wealth of experience and a huge passion for creating work with and for early years and families, transforming lives through creativity.

Kath trained as a dancer at Coventry Centre for Performing Arts, gaining a first class BA (hons) Degree in Arts Practice and Cultural Policy from Coventry University in 1997. She has a 25 year portfolio career as a performer, choreographer, musician and community dance artist working in schools, the community and touring nationally, with all ages and abilities, from 0 to 100.

As a performer, musician and dancer, Kath has toured extensively across the UK to theatres, rural touring venues, schools and libraries, including 11 years as co-director of Wriggle Dance Theatre, creating and touring professional interactive performances for young children and families. Kath has also co-written and recorded vocals and flute on a number of albums with latin jazz band, Sonrisa.  

In 2023 Kath formed Sonrisa Arts CIC, to bring together her extensive and diverse creative practice under one umbrella. Sonrisa Arts produces professional performances and projects, co-created with and for the community, focusing on young children, families and the older generations.
