''I like that way how we move around. It feels like you’re in the air, like flying around!'" Participant
After a successful trial earlier this year, we are launching a low-cost online class for boys aged 7-11 years developing physicality, self-awareness, confidence and expression through dynamic movement. The sessions will be welcoming, friendly, and enable participants to build new skills with professional artist Nick Lawson of Four Hands Dance.
We welcome anyone in the specified age group that identifies as male.
There will be a limited number of places to enable the children to have the most enjoyable group class experience. In this small group, they will feel involved, with the opportunity to interact with the teacher and the other participants. The classes will eventually move back into the studio, in our new building, The Dance Space, Brighton.
“Dancing makes me feel good and expressive and like I can do loads of things just with my mind.” Participant
We genuinely want our classes to be available to everyone and don't want the cost to prevent a child taking part. We can be flexible on price so please contact Sarah on the email address above if you would like to discuss a discount.
Classes are weekly at 4.30pm from Tuesday 29 September until Tuesday 8 December 2020 (excluding 27 October)
Bookings are for the whole term and one payment covers all children in the household. Even though the term has started, we can still take new entries up until half term and trial classes are available.
This is a collaboration with Vincent Dance Theatre, who kickstarted these classes in 2019, led by Charlotte Vincent.
