Creative Class with Marisa Zanotti

Nothing is real (again): 24 Hours about time and dancing

This is a cross-disciplinary creative course with choreography at its centre that runs over 12
weeks. Participants will be asked to respond to ways of thinking about time by artists including Alvin Lucier, Hussein Chalayan and Chantal Akerman.

The classes will be made up of choreographic creative tasks, discussion and making in small and large groups. The course ends with an informal showing of work.

In this course choreographing might happen in different media. The class is open to anyone who is up for new ideas about dance and is willing to work collaboratively. You don’t need to be an established artist or dancer although some participants will be. The course is structured in three phases:

  1. Exploring and Gathering
  2. Trying out and Testing
  3. Making and Showing

The course is written and led by Marisa Zanotti who is a filmmaker and video designer. www.marisazanotti.net.

The term costs £169. Like all of Three Score Dance's classes, they offer a discount of 20% for those on Pension Credit. Please note that when booking you will be prompted to sign up via the Three Score Dance website. If you do not already have an account, please register to proceed with your booking.
