Artists 4 Artists Festival

Artists 4 Artists is a festival of industry sharings, performances and workshops taking place online and live at The Place 21-24 October, 2021, and aims to educate and provoke debate about the future of UK Hip Hop dance theatre.

The line-up includes:

Solo performances from three of the UK’s most promising Hip Hop voices, Paris Crossley x Tanaya ‘ICE’ Martin x Dani Harris Walters, interwoven with films developed during the pandemic by Daniel Bailey, Celene Fortenbacher, Sebastian Morales Castillo and Body Politic.

An early doors industry sharing with Jamaal O'Driscoll and Yami Löfvenberg mixing an intro to their practice and collaborative team, as well as sharing excerpts of work.

A compelling double bill by Si Rawlinson and Emma Houston focusing on shared, exclusionary experiences.

A day of workshops with Kloe Dean (Myself UK), Joseph Toonga (Just Us Dance Theatre) and Simeon Osyea (Birdgang), as well as get thinking and chatting with Peggy Olislaegers and Hakeem Onibudo, alongside an epic line up in two open discussions.

As part of a national consortium, we’re also supporting a callout for Hip Hop artists to respond to the lack of Hip Hop focused dance work for children and families.
