South East Dance Brighton Fringe Bursary 2019

South East Dance are delighted to announce applications are open for our first Brighton Fringe Bursary for 2019. The award is open to any artist or company whose Brighton Fringe show includes movement / dance / choreography.

The offer:
The successful recipient will receive:

  • £300 cash support
  • Brighton Fringe registration fee paid for
  • 2 days of dramaturgy with South East Dance Dramaturg in Residence, Lou Cope
  • Artist Advisory / mentoring sessions with the South East Dance team
  • In-kind marketing and social media support for your show

This support is worth up to £1800!

This bursary is open to any Brighton Fringe show that includes movement / dance / choreography. You do not need to be a dance artist / company to apply! The shows lead art form might be cabaret, circus, burlesque, physical theatre etc. Please note: this bursary is open to professional artists only (not students).

You will need to be ready to register your event for the Brighton Fringe Early Bird Registration deadline on 07 December. In order to be considered for the bursary, you must first have a show in development and provide evidence that you have either confirmed your venue or are in conversation with a venue who will host your Brighton Fringe show in 2019.

How to apply:
Complete the application form here. You will also be asked to complete the South East Dance monitoring form.

Deadline: Midday, 26 November 2018
Bursary recipient announced: 30 November 2018
