Move South East - Dance Network Funding Surgery Session
This is a practical day for dance artists and companies working/living in the South East region. It is geared towards supporting dance artists who want to create professional development opportunities for themselves and others in their area.
Date: Saturday 20 October
Time: 10am - 5pm
Venue: The Point, Eastleigh
The day will include:
- Advice on writing ACE applications
- A practical writing session*
- Creating effective Crowdfunding campaigns
- Networking opportunities
*this is a chance for you to work on your draft ACE application and receive feedback.
Who can attend?
Dance networks, independent dance artist/companies, recent graduates and dance lecturers (HE level) who are based in the South East of England.

- A short paragraph about why you would like to attend
- Details of the dance network you are from / looking to set up
- If you would like a funded place or a free place (see below)
Funded places: There is funding available for 16 independent dance artists from across the South East Region to attend the day. Priority will be given to those in established dance networks or to those who are actively seeking to develop a network in their area.
Non-funded places: There are a further 9 places available for those artists who are not in or seeking to start a dance network. No funding is available for these places, and the day is still free of charge.
Move South East is an informal network working together for the benefit of the dance sector in the South East. This Funding Surgery Session is part of a larger funded project which aims to create opportunities for regional dance networks to share expertise and explore future plans to strengthen the regional dance workforce.
