Anna Alvarez: Romeo & Juliet

Tango and contemporary dance artist, Anna Alvarez, has been working with Brighton Youth Centre to choreograph the dramatic tension and passion of the masquerade ball when Romeo and Juliet finally meet. Props and masks made in collaboration with Mandinga Arts.

Part of the second annual Our City Dances festival. Bursting out of venues and spaces across central Brighton, Queens Park and Tarner over the weekend of Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June. With BSL interpereted events throughout the festival we celebrate the global language of dance, encouraging all ages and abilities to join artists in watching and making performance happen.
