Weerewa - Portrait of a Landscape
by Sue Healey

"This film was created by Sue Healey and her amazing team on Ngunnawal and Nambri land, where I live and work. I pay my respects to the traditional custodians of the land and their elders past, present and emerging. This land is where RED was created, the work I hope to present as part of the 20 Women series. Sue’s vision of the world and her commitment to movement always astounds and moves me and she also mentored me for RED.

"The Lake is a constant in Canberra – whether she is full or empty. Elizabeth Cameron Dalman, OAM, lives on the edge of the lake, like a guardian in her dance sanctuary Mirramu. I have been privileged enough to work with many of the dancers in the film over a long period of time, in particular the extraordinary Elizabeth, who is also the Patron of the BOLD Festival."

2020 Vision is our celebration of screen dance curated by the artists who will take part in the opening programme of The Dance Space next year, as well as the South East Dance team and our Welcome Project Community Steering Group.

We would really appreciate you taking time to complete this short survey on your experience of 2020 Vision. It's important to us to find out what you thought of the programme, so we can refine and tailor our programmes to what you want to see. We also have to report back to our funders, so we need as much feedback as possible for them. Once again, thanks for your time and attention.

Although we are bringing you this content for free, we are fundraising to help South East based dance artists affected by COVID-19 who have, in many cases, lost almost their entire incomes overnight. If you are able to donate, any amount is welcome. Thank you.
