Much of Lindsey's aerial choreographic work over the last 20 years has been 'building based', vertical dance commissions; a discipline in which she also teaches master classes in the UK and internationally.

Gravity & Levity have created three full-length touring aerial dance productions, two outdoor pieces, alongside several site-specific commissions, and won both the Jerwood Circus and Dance for Camera awards.

For the last 10 years, Gravity & Levity have also curated and run the annual European Aerial Dance Festival.

Lindsey is a hearing impaired artist.

Lindsey says: "I’ve long been a fan of Fin's work since we first met and have loved both witnessing and, on occasion, being a moving part of her creative evolution ever since. This is a beautifully crafted film with exquisite attention to detail and it moves me, deeply.

"The whole package; the dancing, the musical score, the words, the setting and how it’s framed, all combine to make me feel all of the feels! I love how Fin meets every aspect of the dancers wholly in the studio and crafts that with them.

‘Like a slow wave, the goose bumps of contagion prickled across the classroom floor’.

"It speaks of rules and patterns of behaviour, of our perceptions and limitations, both imposed and self-imposed: those we create, abide by, strive against and what, in amongst all of that, truly serves us.

"Of our human failings and personal triumphs.

"Spoiler alert – the duet with Jessica and Thomasin makes me smile and cry both at the same time, the joy, the playfulness and the possibilities now apparent in the meeting of these two beautiful bodies and minds."

2020 Vision is our celebration of screen dance curated by the artists who will take part in the opening programme of The Dance Space next year, as well as the South East Dance team and our Welcome Project Community Steering Group.

We would really appreciate you taking time to complete this short survey on your experience of 2020 Vision. It's important to us to find out what you thought of the programme, so we can refine and tailor our programmes to what you want to see. We also have to report back to our funders, so we need as much feedback as possible for them. Once again, thanks for your time and attention.

Thanks to the generosity of our funders and supporters, we are delighted to share this content with you for free. As an arts charity, however, we have to continue to fundraise - not only to complete the build and fit-out of The Dance Space, but also to ensure that the positive impact of our work can be felt by more people across the South East region. Please give what you can; every donation, large or small, is welcome. Thank you.
