Class description

Build core strength, stamina ad flexibility through dynamic and percussive movement. The class includes a warm-up, centre exercises, progressions and choreography.

About Heather

Heather Benson (she/her), an Atlanta, Georgia native, is a dance artist, producer, strategic consultant and Horton Technique lecturer working within the USA, UK and beyond. With 20 years of combined experience in the arts and leadership, she provides bespoke artistic and professional development for students and professionals, as well as programming and strategic consultancy for creatives across the globe. 

Heather is an Associate of Blake Arts, performing and teaching within various institutions and programmes. Previous teaching engagements include Artistry Youth Dance, English National Ballet School, IRIE! dance theatre, Roehampton University, Tavaziva Dance and many more. Former students and mentees of Heather's have gone on to train and perform in Cuba, across the USA and Europe, West End shows and UK tours. She is a former company member of Dallas Black Dance Theatre II, Urban Bush Women and Philadanco!

Alongside teaching, Heather is the Managing Director of Angela's Pulse (NYC, USA) and a Project Manager & Consultant for Kauma Arts, who supports multi-disciplinary creatives from Africa and its Diaspora.
