Annie Edwards is a Brighton born, London based dance artist. Her current practice is a culmination of two strong influences: a background in hip hop and contemporary dance and her lived experience as a disabled person. She graduated from London Contemporary Dance School in 2019 and has since been working as a performer and creator in the UK and internationally, whilst maintaining an ongoing engagement with disability advocacy throughout all her work.
Annie’s class is fun and energising, with an aim to use dance as a way to inhabit ourselves more fully and expansively. Through improvisation and also lead material, this class explores musicality, contemporary and hiphop movement styles, resting and observation. Annie is committed to creating a safe and enjoyable experience for participants and incorporates a relaxed approach to her leading. Expect good tunes and a collective exchange.
