1. Children and family focused
Event or performance that will be performed in the playground of Puffin Nursery and aimed at children aged 2+ and their families. We hope for something colourful and celebratory, that people may happen upon, or be able to see without being part of a large audience. This event will also be filmed and presented on our website.
Creative activity with our partners, Puffin Nursery, in the lead up to the festival would be encouraged. This will likely be online unless government guidelines are lifted to safely allow face to face activity
2. Day time Spectacle for Brooke Mead extra care housing for people living with dementia.
A mid-scale live dance performance to take place outside Brooke Mead (for residents to watch safely from inside the building.) We are interested in highly visual, uplifting work that has the flexibility to move sites if needed. This performance will also be filmed and presented on our website.
3.Have a go workshops live on zoom
A fun participatory opportunity for audience members to have a chance to learn a new dance style live on zoom, with the possibility to be delivered at an outside central Brighton Location depending on government guidelines. Workshops need suitable for all levels. We welcome accessible workshops so that as many people can join in as possible. All dance styles and genres welcome, from Voguing to Katak, Ballroom to Breakdance – and everything in between – we want to hear from you!
NB: If your work doesn’t fit into one of these categories but you still feel that it would bring a richness to our programme we would be happy to hear from you (Please select ‘Other’ category in application form).
