Announcing Flourish supported artists 2018
We are delighted to announce the 17 #SEDsupported Flourish artists for 2018, who will receive financial and artistic mentoring support to enhance their careers.
We had a brilliant response this year, with 38 applicants applying for more than £16,500 for a range of projects including developing an app, training in puppetry and developing a website. Successful applicants include:
Abi Mortimer, Artistic Director of Lila Dance who will be using her Flourish award to research and develop a new family friendly app as part of a new outdoor work
Munya Muchati who will use his funding to develop a new website for his company Thirty10
Ester Natzijl, who will receive mentoring to support the creation of a new work that aims to engage teenaged boys via links with the computer game Fortnite.
Miriam King will work with dance teacher Ursula Stricker to devise new ways to continue her practice that support her mobility challenges.
Flourish is made possible thanks to the generous support of Chalk Cliff Trust and Jerwood Charitable Foundation .
