Trustees

We are delighted to be looking for Trustees at such an exciting time in our development. Our vision for The Dance Space is a place that is welcoming, accessible and safe for everybody, a civic and community building with creativity at its heart. A place that starts from the assumption that everyone is creative and that does not place value judgements on the nature of that creativity or how it is expressed.

This is a time of development for the Board as in addition to the recruitment of new Trustees, the current Chair John Struthers will be stepping down after five successful years, including overseeing the transition to becoming a building-based organisation. We are therefore also currently recruiting for a new Chair.

I am proud that each year South East Dance has challenged, inspired and grown its reach to animate and innovate dance across the South East, and encourage people from all walks of life to engage with dance on their own terms. At the heart of this wonderful work is supporting dance artists from across the region to make and show their work”.
