Kent Dancing

Kent Dancing is a festival of participatory, performance and site-specific dance activity across Kent. In 2012 this activity was linked with Big Dance and the London Festival 2012. Events took place across the UK during Big Dance week from 7-15 July 2012 and included a 7-week countdown period that started on 18 May 2012.

In September 2013 Kent Dancing returned, this time taking place over three days across unusual spaces and place in Canterbury.

With an accessible, innovative dance programme designed to appeal to a wide audience including families, students and those new to dance. Co-presented and co-programmed by South East Dance and the Gulbenkian, University of Kent in Canterbury, Kent Dancing 2013 reached an audience of almost 500 people including many who had never attended a dance event before.
