Digital Futures in Dance
Digital Futures in Dance began in September 2011, aiming to bring together artists, development organisations, promoters, producers, venues and academics to explore the future of dance and technology. This included providing opportunities for three artists/artist teams to engage in research and development to explore dance and digital technology practice.
Digital Futures returned in 2013 as part of Brighton Digital Festival and included a digital residency at the South East Dance Studios for French artists Le Clair Obscur; a series of live performances and events; screenings and digital themed discussions. Some events were live streamed to an online audience. Digital Futures in Dance 2013 was part of Brighton Digital Festival and DanSCe Dialogues 2 and programmed in partnership with the University of Brighton.
